“Conditions” means these terms and conditions
“Customer/Client/You/Your/User” means an individual who consents to place an order for any of the products or services listed on the Website.
”Products/Services/Work” means writing, editing and formatting of a CV, Cover Letter, LinkedIn Profile, Job Board Registration and any other documentation or service offered on the Website
“Website” means the Website located at https://abcvsolutions.com or any subsequent URL which may replace it
We/Us/Our” means ABCV Solutions as a trading entity, or any of its employees. ABCV Solutions is a company that is registered in England and Wales. Company Registration Number: 9180465. Registered office: Ava Lodge Castle Terrace, Berwick upon Tweed, TD15 1NP
Terms & Conditions of Service
You are provided with access to this Website in accordance with these Conditions and any orders placed by you must be placed strictly in accordance with these Conditions. These Terms and Conditions are written with the sole jurisdiction of the English courts and according to English Law. We reserve the right to cancel or change these terms and conditions at any time and without prior notice. The provisions relating to Disclaimer, Liability, Intellectual Property and Indemnity shall survive beyond completion of any order. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, you should stop using the Website immediately.
No part of this Website is intended to constitute a contractual offer capable of acceptance. Your order constitutes a contractual offer and our acceptance of that offer is deemed to occur upon our sending a confirmation email to you indicating that your payment has been received and your product/service is on its way to you.
In the case of CV, LinkedIn and Cover Letter writing, completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the dispatch of the final version of your items ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it in accordance with our Distance Selling Regulations, Cancellations and Refunds article below.
Similarly, with relation to Social Media Audits and Social Media Management services, ABCV Solutions will carry out work only where an agreement is provided by email. An ‘order’ is deemed to be a written contract between ABCV Solutions and the client. Completion of the order will be confirmed in writing by us following confirming that work has been carried out to the best of our ability.
The Order Process – CV, LinkedIn & Cover Letters
To proceed with an order, press the ‘Proceed to PayPal’ button’ at the end of the checkout process. You will be linked to PayPal’s secure Website and guided through the process of placing an order by a series of instructions on their Website either using your existing PayPal account login details or as a ‘guest’ using your debit or credit card.
We’ll then send to you two emails.
We will send you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products and services you have ordered, a PDF Invoice for your records and your Career Advice Pack downloads (if applicable to your order). Please note that you have 14 days to download the Career Packs.
A separate email will contain a welcome note inviting you to log into your secure account. Your email address will act as your username and an automatically generated password will be included in the email. You will need to log into your account to continue.
From your account dashboard you can view your recent orders, complete or update your questionnaire, download and approve your completed CV, and edit your password and account details.
You are required to complete the Questionnaire online (we suggest allowing approximately 30-45 minutes). The purpose of the Questionnaire is to supplement, not to replace your existing CV and explores your personal preferences, ambitions, skills and achievements.
Once completed, submit the Questionnaire online and upload your existing CV and your Cover Letter (if applicable) or any other supporting documentation such as a vacancy advertisement or job description by clicking ‘Submit Questionnaire & CV’.
We strongly recommend that you download a copy of your completed Questionnaire as it acts as a helpful interview preparation tool. A download link will be available once you have submitted your questionnaire.
Turnaround Times – CV, LinkedIn & Cover Letters
Barring inability to contact you if necessary, a draft copy of your new CV will normally be completed within seven (7) working days after you submit your completed Questionnaire and your existing CV. Cover Letters are produced within two (2) working days and LinkedIn Optimisation is also normally two (2) working days.You will be notified if the preparation of your documents or other service is likely to take significantly longer than this.
Amending and Approving Your New CV
Within two (2) working days following the issue of your draft document, we will make amendments as required at no extra charge until you are completely satisfied with your CV. However, you cannot express unreasonable, total or near total dissatisfaction at the draft copy stage. Once you have approved the draft of your CV, or after this period has elapsed we reserve the right to charge an additional fee for any changes. Cover Letter Writing and LinkedIn Optimisations do not include draft approvals.
Once your acceptance of the draft CV is received, we will send you the final professional CV within two (2) working days in MS Word and PDF format to complete your order. You cannot express unreasonable, total or near total dissatisfaction at the draft copy stage. Once you have approved the draft of your CV, or after this period has elapsed we reserve the right to charge an additional fee for any changes.
If no communication is received from you regarding amendments or approval of your draft CV after seven (7) working days then we will use the information we hold about you to prepare your final documents. The document will be dispatched and the order deemed closed.
All documents completed by ABCV Solutions will be made available to you to download from your online account under ‘Your Documents’. You will receive a full breakdown of the work completed to transform your CV via email.
If you are purchasing our LinkedIn Profile Optimisation service as a stand-alone service (i.e. without a new CV) we can only accept your order following receipt of your completed Questionnaire and your existing CV. If you are purchasing our LinkedIn Profile Creation or Optimisation service in addition to a new CV, then we can only start work once you have approved the draft of the new CV we have prepared for you. Unlike CVs, amendments on LinkedIn Profiles are not included in the service and delivery of our email confirming the changes we have made to your profile completes your order.
Express Writing Service
We only undertake a professional CV express service when we have the capacity to fulfil your requirement. Please contact us to discuss if this possible before booking via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Barring inability to contact you if necessary, draft documents prepared using the Next-day or Two Working Days express service are guaranteed to be completed and delivered by e-mail within 24 hours or 48 hours (depending on the service) after we send you confirmation that we have received of your existing CV and that you have completed Questionnaire to a suitable standard.
We will make amendments to your draft documents as required at no extra charge within one (1) additional working day. Once we receive your written acceptance of the draft(s) we will send you the final CV to complete your express order.
If no communication is received from you regarding amendments or approval of your draft CV after two (2) working days then we will use the information we hold about you to prepare your final documents. The document will be dispatched and the order deemed closed.
If you need your CV to be completed by an earlier specific deadline that falls outside the express service offering but is closer than our standard 7 working days, please email to us at email@example.com before placing an order, to ensure that we can meet your requirements. Working days are Monday to Friday (excluding UK public holidays).
Social Media Audits
Upon ordering an audit of your social media profiles, we contact you directly to request details of your online profiles along with your personal or business objectives. You will receive a full breakdown of the strengths and weaknesses of your existing online image across a maximum of 4 platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram). Barring inability to contact you if necessary, our standard turnaround is five (5) working days.
Social Media Management
Social Media Management campaigns can be ordered on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. Both we and the client have the right to terminate an order for any reason, including the ending of services that are already underway. No refunds shall be offered, where a Service is deemed to have begun and is, for all intents and purposes, underway.
All work which is signed off by a client is considered approved. Any amendments made after the work has been signed off may be subject to additional fees on pro-rata rate of £35 per hour.
The social media management services featured on this website are available internationally. Additional costs for international clients may be charged.
We reserve the right to refuse to handle in any way, material which may be deemed offensive, illegal or controversial. Due to external factors we cannot offer any guarantees regarding the search engine position we will achieve or the number of views and engagements to your online profile.
Non-acceptance of an Order
Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following;
- Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment,
- Our inability to contact you with the Personal Information you provided,
- Our inability to achieve reasonable Turnaround times due to the amount of work we take on,
- Your inability to complete the Questionnaire and/or insufficient information in your existing CV
- Your inability to order an appropriate level of CV based on the length of your career and seniority
All fees must be paid in full in advance via PayPal.
Use of PayPal
Use of our link to PayPal to pay for your services is done strictly at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for any misuse of your PayPal Account, Credit/Debit Card or Bank Account as a result of using this service. If PayPal refuses to authorise payment, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery and we are not obliged to inform you of the refusal.
All prices are subject to change at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or anyone else for changing any prices. Prices are stated in GBP (British Pound Sterling). PayPal will automatically apply the relevant exchange rate for other currencies. We will not be liable for any currency conversion fees applied to your transaction.
Distance Selling Regulations – Cancellations & Refunds
In the UK, you have the right to cancel your order within a statutory seven (7) working day cooling-off period as defined by United Kingdom’s Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. However, under the above-mentioned regulations, our CV writing services are ‘made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised’ and are therefore exempt from any refund. If the provision of the Services commences within the cooling-off period, your right to cancel under this provision shall end.
However, we do allow a cancellation on a standard service only if notification is received in writing within 24 hours of payment but is prior to ABCV Solutions commencing work on your behalf. If you terminate any non-completed orders you will not be entitled to a refund to any monies paid in relation to those orders.
We reserve the right to terminate any contract without refund due to destructive, offensive, aggressive or abusive behaviour from a client.
Without prejudice to the provisions above, in the event we do not receive any communication from you following a period of sixty (60) days, then we will use the information we hold about you to email you and to notify you that your order is deemed closed without any refund provided.
Your Obligations When Submitting Information To Us
You warrant that the information submitted to us does not contain false or defamatory material, or that which infringes the copyright, trademark rights and intellectual rights of third parties or submit any information likely to damage ABCV Solutions.
You warrant that all information which you provide to us is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects and that you will notify us immediately of any changes to such information prior to completion of the contract.
We cannot be held liable for any criminal proceedings which arise as a result of false or misleading information being included in your CV or any other documents prepared by us.
Electronic Documentation Format
Documents transmitted via email are in Microsoft Word for Windows and Adobe PDF format. We will not be held liable for incompatibility issues with a user’s individual computer, nor be required to provide supporting software. We cannot accept any liability for late delivery of emails or for the failure of emails to arrive.
Microsoft Word is not currently fully supported on the Apple iPad. This means that some formatting features may not be displayed when viewing a Microsoft Word file on the device. Therefore, we recommend viewing your CV and Cover Letters using a PC or Laptop with a full version of Microsoft Word installed.
Whilst every attempt is made to check electronic documentation for viruses and bugs before transmitting by email or copying to USB Memory Stick, it is your responsibility to ensure that your computer is adequately protected from viruses and bugs.
If you have reason to believe that your Account details have been obtained by another without consent, you should contact ABCV Solutions immediately to suspend your Account and cancel any unauthorised orders or payments that may be pending. Please be aware that orders or payments can only be cancelled up until 24 hours before provision of Services has commenced.
ABCV Solutions will suspend provision of Work pending investigation. Following investigation, it shall be determined whether or not to cancel the order and make a full or partial refund of the payment.
Language & Format
All documents are produced in United Kingdom English in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF.
You acknowledge and agree that all copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in all material on our Website shall remain at all times vested in us. You are permitted to use this material for the sole purpose of you evaluating whether to and/or placing an order with us. Any other use of the material within our Website is strictly prohibited. Except with the written permission of ABCV Solutions, you shall not disclose, copy, divulge, reproduce, publish or in any way disseminate any material including our Questionnaire and Checklist to any third party or into the public domain for the purpose of monetary or commercial gain.
By using our services you agree to indemnify and hold ABCV Solutions Ltd free from any losses, liabilities and expenses (including all legal fees) resulting from use of products and services and advice offered via the Website, any printed material produced by ABCV Solutions Ltd or any verbal advice or instruction provided by an employee of ours. Indemnity extends to any breach of the terms and conditions, or uploading, downloading or reproduction of contents or data from this site.
We shall not be held liable for the failure of the Client in obtaining any position, occupation, promotion, offer of employment or achieving any other career objective. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss. We shall not be liable for any warranty or representation not expressly provided in this agreement.
Limitation of Liability
While we will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information we place on the Website, we make no warranties, whether express or implied in relation to its accuracy. The Website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any representation or endorsement made and we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, in relation to the Website, or any transaction that may be conducted through the Website including but not limited to, implied warranties of non-infringement, compatibility, security, accuracy, conditions of completeness, or any implied warranty arising from course of dealing or usage or trade.
We will not be liable, in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence), pre-contract or other representations (other than fraudulent or negligent misrepresentations) or otherwise out of or in connection with the Conditions for;
- any economic losses (including without limitation loss of revenues, profits, contracts, income, business); or
- any loss of goodwill or reputation; or
- any special or indirect losses
- suffered or incurred by that party arising out of or in connection with the provisions of any matter under the Conditions.
We will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through the Website.
Should you find it necessary to make a complaint about any aspect of our services, please submit your complaint in writing in the first instance to: firstname.lastname@example.org. We will respond to your complaint within five (5) working days. We are unable to offer refunds for complaints about the quality of our work as this is subjective and as such impossible to measure. We will in every instance attempt to work with you to resolve any issues with any documents we prepared for you.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
